$240 Million Contract Secured in Nigeria; CBMI Has Been Developing Africa’s Cement Infrastructure for 15 Years Sinoma Construction Co., Ltd.

CBMI Construction Co., Ltd. has signed a USD 240 million cooperation agreement with Nigeria’s BUA Cement Plc to build a new cement production line with an annual capacity of 3 million metric tons in Sokoto State. The two parties have maintained a stable 15-year cooperative partnership. Previously, CBMI has built production lines delivering a total capacity of 14 million tons for BUA Cement. Upon completion of the new project, BUA’s total annual cement capacity will reach 20 million tons. This new production line will fully satisfy the surging cement demand driven by Nigeria’s rapid infrastructure construction. The project stands as a benchmark case for sustained profitable overseas expansion of Chinese cement technology and engineering services in Africa.
